All About Me

 Hello readers!

  My name is Jasmine, and I am creating this blog as part of a pretty cool assignment for a class that I am taking. This class is called Futuring and Innovation and it is a part of the curriculum for a doctorate degree with Colorado Technical University. The assignment is to create a blog and focus it on anything you would like. I feel this would be the perfect place to express how my journey through the doctorate program is going and what sort of findings that I come across for my dissertation. 

    So, with that being said, here is a little background information about me. I currently reside in Clarksville, TN with my son and 2 dogs. I am originally from San Antonio, Texas but joined the Army straight out of high school and went on a 10-year adventure. During my time in the Army, I served as an information technology specialist. I was able to get a bachelor's in history and become COMPTIA security+ certified as well during my time in the military. Once I decided to leave the service, I continued on with a career in IT. I worked as a contractor for Lockheed Martin as a system administrator before converting over to a government position. I currently work as a system administrator for the Fort Campbell school district and love every moment of it. I have also completed a bachelors in cybercrime and security from Colorado Technology University as well as a master's in information security systems management. So naturally, the next step in my pursue of higher education is the doctoral route. I absolutely love learning and have enjoyed myself this far. I look forward to dive deeper and documenting my journey along the way with this platform.
